Super Tee Shot

Golfers (and non-golfers) got the rare opportunity to hit a tee shot from the top of the 5-story SGA Corporate Center at Kierland onto the 4th hole of the Acacia Golf Course at the Westin Kierland Golf Club to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona.

Channel 3's Yetta Gibson and her crew did live shots during the event and even interviewed our own Kyra Williams. You can read Gibson's article on azfamily.com.

ESA booked tee times for about 50 golfers, plus coordinated with building management to address safety concerns - golfers had to be harnessed - talk about extreme golfing!

Contributions ranged from $25 for one shot to $100 for 10 shots. All proceeds went to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona for fulfilling wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Prizes were awarded to participants with shots closest to the hole.

About the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona is the place where wishes began in 1980, with a young boy’s dream of becoming a police officer, and is now the largest wish-granting charity in the world. The chapter has granted more than 3,200 wishes in Arizona since its inception. For more information, visit www.wishaz.org and discover how you can share the power of a wish®.
